About Luna Zsigo

Luna Zsigo works as a freelance artist and is based in the Medway Towns

 

Luna studied in Art & Design and has worked at the UCA since graduating in 2010 and is now employed there as a Creative Workshop Tutor.

 

Luna’s passion and enthusiasm for art is infectious and she is the proud founder of ‘Explore & Draw’ a successful art group with over a hundred members and growing.

 

Her artwork is full of energy and intrigue, she looks beyond the physical to explore a world ruled by emotion and spirituality.

At the start of lockdown Luna was overjoyed to receive the commission from Medway Council to paint a twenty-foot mural at Rochester Corn Exchange.

This was Luna’s biggest commission to date and was a true labour of love.

‘The Rose Garden’ mural is inspired by both an ancient Persian poem ‘The Conference of the Birds’ and Luna’s own artistic journey.

Luna Zsigo is the proud founder of Explore & Draw, an art group established in 2017 with over a hundred member and growing!
Explore & Draw’s ethos was inspired by George Frederic and Mary Watts who believed ‘Art is for All’. Materials are provided and all abilities are welcome.

She collaborates with Heritage sites, businesses and other artists to deliver unique and exciting workshops that teach that there is no one way to become an artist. Her workshops inspire and encourage people to connect to their inner creative.

Explore & Draw focuses on still life objects, handmade or artefacts direct from the site encouraging you to get creative whilst learning about the rich and diverse culture of the area.
